Currently, it’s 84 & sunny, without a cloud in the sky, so you know what that means… POOL DAY!!!
Let me walk you through what I do to hydrate & protect my skin, plus look a little bit cute & glowy, when laying out in the sun. Whoever said you can’t wear makeup to the pool was LYING, and you don’t need that kind of negativity in your life.
Wearing makeup to the pool is actually better than wearing nothing at all on your face, because most foundations these days have SPF in them. So if you don’t put sunscreen on your face, at least wear your foundation with SPF in it to the pool, the lake, the beach, and look cute while doin’ it too 😉
To start things off, I spray my “Pixie Glow Mist” with Propolis & Argan Oil all over my face to “Nourish, Hydrate, & Protect” my skin. It’s so refreshing, smells like lemons, and is practically a spa in a bottle.
I’m not a fan of wearing foundation while I sweat outside, and I also like for my freckles to show through on my nose, so I skip that step. To protect my skin from the sun, I put on my sweat-proof “Neutrogena Sport Face” sunscreen with 70+ SPF, cause ain’t nobody got time for wrinkles 😉
Then I take my “MAC Strobe Cream” and put it all over my face for a luminous heathy glow, that looks like skin, you can’t even tell there’s anything on my face. It’s that “glow-from-within” look, everyone wants 😉
Then I take my “Maybelline Fit Me” concealer and place a little bit under my eyes to slightly hide my dark circles, but not completely, I still let a little bit of discoloration show through, that way it doesn’t look like I’m wearing a mask to the pool. I add a tiny tiny bit of waterproof “Lash Sensational” Mascara by Maybelline to my outer top lashes as well.
Then I add a touch of my “Mary-Lou Manizer by theBalm” powder highlighter on the high points of my face to intensify our already glowing skin, and spritz my face a couple more times with my “Pixie Glow Mist.”
To add a little bit of color, you can add some “Benefit Bene-Tint Cheek & Lip Stain” to your cheeks and dab it in with your fingers, for a natural pinky cheek, if you’re feelin’ a little extra 😉 but I typically skip this step, because my cheeks get pretty dang red in the sun anyways 🙂
So that’s it! That’s how I achieve my go-to face for laying out & havin’ fun in the sun 🙂
