My Go-To Makeup Products!

Hello friends!

I am back with another post, and this one is all about my 1st love…. makeup!

I’m going to be sharing with you the products that are my go-to’s; I reach for them almost everyday, and they’ve never done me wrong! All items are linked; just click on a product!

Some of these products are considered “high end” but most are actually drugstore and they’re pretty freakin’ amazing products! The majority of my $$ goes into my pro-kit for clients, so I end up not spending a ton on makeup for myself, and in doing so, I’ve found some pretty great drugstore products!!

If I had to choose 1 out of each makeup item ex. foundation, concealer, bronzer, etc., these would be them:

Moisturizer for under makeup & primer

Yes that primer on the right has seen a lot of love, don’t judge.

I have recently discovered the Hello Fab line by First Aid Beauty and it’s amazing! It’s a little confusing given the name of this product, the Coconut Skin Smoothie Primer Moisturizer, buuuut I love it at as a moisturizer, which I use under my primer. It’s very hydrating and gives my skin a healthy glow!

I know what you’re thinking, you can only choose 1 primer, but I technically am, I use 1 for 1 area/problem, 1 for the other.

The Makeup Forever Step 1 Equalizer Primers are phenomenal! I use the smoothing one on my large pores on my cheeks and the hydrating one basically everywhere else, because if you couldn’t tell by now, I have extremely dry skin!

Foundation

Maybelline Dream CushionUm, this stuff rocks! I have never tried a cushion foundation until this guy, and I can’t put it down! I am in LOVE with the natural, slightly dewy finish you get when using this product! It seriously looks like your skin but better, it’s so natural and beautiful! Totally not full coverage, but in my opinion, it’s the perfect amount of coverage! It’s completely breathable and buildable, plus it’s travel friendly!

Concealer

Tarte Shape TapeWell duh. This is the 1st concealer I have ever found that actually covers my hereditary dark circles. And honey, they’re dark. But this stuff is INCREDIBLE! A little goes a very long way, and it is so full coverage. It’s very creamy and a tiny bit on the thick side, so your best bet is to set it before it starts to crease and grab onto your lines; if you do that, you’re golden! I can’t say enough good things about this concealer, everyone and their mom needs to try it!!

Contour

Nothing will ever replace the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Contour Kit for me, and that’s all I have to say.

Bronzer

The Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer is beautiful. I just recently picked this up, and I cannot put it down. Not to mention, every time you open it up it smells like you’re on vacation. It’s the prettiest shade of bronze, with a slight sheen throughout. It’s totally buildable and is super easy to blend!! The only down side; I got the darker of the 2 shade options, and if you’re any tanner than I am (when I’m fake tanned) you might have a hard time getting it to show up! Pic below for skin tone reference.

p.s. This little dress is from J&J Petite Boutique; I’m wearing a size medium!

Blush

Literally every single day I use one of the 3 blush shades in this Becca Cosmetics palette in collaboration with Jaclyn Hill. If I’m not choosing 1, I’m mixing all 3! I just  love Becca blushes! Another one I use constantly is the shade Nightingale; a gorgeous, rich berry shade!

Highlight

An oldie, but a goodie. The Mary Lou Manizer the Luminizer by theBalm has been my go-to since day 1 and probably always will be. I love how versatile the shade is, it goes with every makeup look: it’s not too gold, too pink, too cool toned; it’s perfect! So smooth too, not chunky or glittery whatsoever!!

But if I’m going the liquid highlight route, I will always choose the Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop

Eyebrows

These are my 2 fav products for my brows. I know what you’re thinking, I’m breaking the rules again, buuuut if I had to choose 1 brow pencil it would be the Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Definer and if I could only choose 1 brow gel it would be the Maybelline Brow Precise Fiber VolumizerThis combo is to die for. I like the brow definer better than the brow wiz from ABH, I feel like it gets the job done in half the time, with even better results!

Eyeshadow Palette

If I was stranded on a deserted island tomorrow with only 1 palette to my name, I would hope and pray it was this one! The Tarte Cosmetics Tarteist PRO Eyeshadow Palette is beautiful. The amount of makeup looks you can create with this single palette is incredible. Plus they’re super blendable, pigmented, and there’s little to no fallout. Plus you get 4 duo chrome/foiled shades as well! SO worth the price!

Mascara

I legit will only ever buy 1 mascara from the drugstore and that’s the Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black.

Setting Spray/Face Mist

I will not leave the house without dousing my face in these 2 sprays.

The Mac Fix+ is not a setting spray. I repeat, it’s not a setting spray. It is a mineral water designed to bring life back to the skin by taking away some of that powdery look of all your face powders. It can also be used to intensify highlighters, foiled shadows, etc., by wetting your brush and then applying them. I use the Fix+ first and then I set my face with my new First Aid Beauty Hello Fab Vital Greens Face MistThis stuff adds another layer of hydration to my skin (like I’ve said I have super dry skin) while also setting the makeup as well. It’s made up of many great ingredients for your skin, but the only downside to that is the smell. Kinda smells like you’re spraying liquid salad on your face, but it’s fine. lol

I obviously left out lipstick, cause honey I change that up like I change my hair color; which wouldn’t seem like that many changes to the average person, but I, on the other hand, change my hair color quite frequently. lol

And 1 of my fav brush lines is Mikasa Beauty Brushes! Plus you can use my code: CLAIRERENEMUA15 for 15% off your total purchase! 🙂

These are just the products I gravitate towards on a daily basis, and the products that I just can’t put down. ❤
