Hey girl!

I was gonna clean my brushes for this post, and then I remembered we like to keep it real here. So these guys aren’t clean, but they look the way they do in normal life, so it’s fine, right?

I have finally put together the list of my favorite, go-to brushes! If you want to see any of these brushes in action, go ahead and subscribe to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/clairerene, and watch any of my makeup tutorials!

Face

I apply my foundation with the Beauty Blender! I never, ever use a brush, just because I don’t like the way they blend out foundation, and I don’t like the coverage they give. I also have super dry skin, so by using a damp beauty blender, it adds a little more moisture into my makeup when applying!

Powder Brush

I use a big, fluffy brush to dust powder all over my face! This one is super, duper nice and high-quality!

Under-eye Setting Brush

I use two different brushes to set underneath my eyes with powder, just depending on the day! I also use these smaller, detailed brushes to set smaller areas, like around my nose and mouth.

Bronzer Brush

Moving on to bronzing/contouring! I don’t really contour anymore, I just add a slightly darker bronzer in the hallows of my cheeks, but blending it into the bronzer I already have on. And for that I use this brush by Morphe! It’s a part of a face set (which I love), but you can also buy it separately with a little bit different of a handle.

Blush Brush

Next up, blush! I have always struggled to find the perfect blush brush, but I think I have finally found it! I always find myself putting on way too much blush, and then having nothing I could do about it. It’s easier to add, then take away! Once I found this duo-fiber brush by Sigma, I was set. It so delicately applies a wash of color, but allows you to build it up as well. LOVE it!

Highlighting Brush

I will never use another highlighting brush. This is hands down the best I’ve ever tried! And don’t even get me started on fan brushes…

Eyes

Blending Brushes

I have a few go-to brushes when it comes to blending! For all over washes of color, to really blow out that crease/transitions shade, I love the Morphe M533! It’s seriously the best! It does an amazing job of really blowing out color, for a soft, super-blended look!

Purchase the M533 here!

For more detailed crease and outer corner blending, I use either the Sigma E40 or the Morphe crease fluff brush!

Lid Packing Brush

To place eyeshadow on your lid, you want a dense, flat packing brush, designed to place tons of color in a specific area. The denser the brush, the more color deposit! These kinds of brushes work best with metallic/duo-chrome shades!

I loveee this brush by Sigma for more metallic shades! It also works super well with wet shadows!

Purchase the E55 here!

I also love this packing brush by Morphe, when I want a less-intense lid shade, and it even works super well with matte shades!

Pencil Brush

I use a pencil brush to smoke out color on my lower lash line, as well as to “line” my top lash line with shadow when I want a less-intense “liner” look! My go-to is by Morphe!

Brow Brush

I fill in my eyebrows with a brush, because I can’t get quite a sharp enough line with a pencil! This brush is super random, I’ve had it for so long! But the reason I love it is because it’s super small and stiff, so I’m able to get a sharp line! It’s not flimsy!

If you want to purchase some of these brushes in a set, then you need the Morphe Eye Slay Collection, as well as the Face Complexion Goals! Any of the rose gold handled brushes are a part of either of those sets! With both of those sets, you’ll basically be set for a flawless, complete makeup look!

P.S. You can use the code CLAIRE10 on ALL Sigma Beauty products!
